Linked Actions

Overview

Linked Actions connects customer feedback insights from Unwrap directly to your workstreams by integrating with your project management tools like Jira and Asana.

First, you integrate Unwrap with your project management tool - today we support Jira and Asana, but are continuously adding more. Then, from the Unwrap platform you can create a link between an Unwrap Group and a task in your project management tool.

Why did we build Linked Actions?

Previously, our users would use Unwrap to identify new insights from customer feedback, like a current product shortcoming, a new bug, or a trending feature request. Then, users would need to leave Unwrap to create a ticket for the engineering team, or add a project to your roadmap. The insight and the action took place in two different platforms, and there was no link between them.

With Linked Actions, the insight and the action are linked, making it easier act on insights from Unwrap and close the feedback loop.

Common workflows

Monitor the impact of recently launched features

From a Group page, you can see the Linked Actions for that Group, and what date they were closed. This allows you to see the impact of relevant work on a particular Group.

Linked actions

Track which bugs have work associated against them

From the Explore page, you can filter to Group Action Items --> Open to see all Groups that have a Linked Action associated with them, and are still open.

Open bugs

See which feedback patterns still have no worked tasked against them

From the Explore page, you can filter Groups to see which ones have no task assigned to them by filtering to Group Action Items --> No Action Items.

How do I set up Linked Actions?

Requirements:

  • An Unwrap user account
  • A Jira or Asana account, and the necessary permissions with Jira/Asana to add a third-party integration.

1. Integrate your project management tool: Go to the Organizations page, and click 'Connect' next to the Jira or Asana icon. Then, complete the authentication flow.

2. Link a Group to a Task: From a Group page, click the 'Linked actions' button to link a relevant task.
