Unwrap integrates with Slack to import and analyze your customer support tickets and conversations, giving you actionable insights from every support interaction.
Step 1: Authenticate the Slack Integration
Go to the Integrations page in Unwrap.
Click "Add Integration" and select Slack.
You'll be redirected to Slack to authenticate. Sign in with an account that has permission to install apps in your workspace.
Review and approve the requested permissions. Unwrap requires read access to channel messages, threads, users, and channel metadata.
Step 2: Invite the Unwrap Bot to Your Channels
The Unwrap Slack app only reads messages from channels it has been explicitly invited to. After authenticating, you'll need to add the bot to each channel you want ingested.
Open the Slack channel you'd like to include,
Type the following in the message box and send:
/invite @Unwrap Ingestion
Step 3: Re-open the Integration and Save
You'll need to re-enter the integration set-up flow after inviting the bot so the integration reflects your newly added channels.
Return to the Integrations page in Unwrap.
Click Add Integration → Slack again. You'll be prompted to re-authenticate with Slack — this is expected, and ensures the integration set-up captures your newly invited channels.
Rate Limits & Throughput
Slack enforces per-workspace API rate limits, so Unwrap paces requests conservatively during this beta launch.
The current throughput allows for 600–800 messages and replies ingested per hour per workspace.
We are in the process of getting this Slack app listed on Slack's marketplace to increase throughput.
