Salesforce Connected App Permissions
All of Unwrap's Salesforce Integrations are managed through Connected Applications. Salesforce recently introduced a change to their Connected Apps as of 09/16/2025 that requires the Authenticating User to have upgraded permissions. Specifically, the User must have the permission "Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps". Follow the directions below to attach this permission to the Authenticating User. Once the User has the necessary permissions, you can proceed with the integration.
Create the required Permission Set
Go to setup
Click on Users -> Permission Sets
Create a new permission set
Click on System Permissions
Click edit at the top of the list
Enable the "Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps" permission
Click save
Add The Permission Set to the User
Go to setup
Click on Users
Find the user in the list and click on them
Navigate to the Permission Set Assignments section
Click "Edit assignments"
Find the previously created Permission Set, and add it to the "Enabled Permission Sets"
Click save

Setup
Navigate to the Integrations page and select "New Integration"
Search for "Salesforce" and select any of the displayed options (they will lead to the same setup flow)
Enter your Salesforce domain and click "Connect with Salesforce". You'll be asked to log in and grant permission for Unwrap to access your data.
Select which data source you want to integrate.
Select which of the available metadata fields you would like to include in your entries. The preview pane displays example entries and metadata as you make these choices.
Optionally, apply filters to restrict which feedback is imported.
Name the integration and click "Save".
Allow a couple of hours for Unwrap to start importing your data.
