Salesforce Connected App Permissions

All of Unwrap's Salesforce Integrations are managed through Connected Applications. Salesforce recently introduced a change to their Connected Apps as of 09/16/2025 that require the Authenticating User to have upgraded permissions. Specifically the User must have the permission "Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps". Follow the directions below to attach this permission to the Authenticating User. Once the User has the necessary permissions you can proceed with the integration.

Create the required Permission Set

1. Go to setup

2. Click on Users -> Permission Sets

3. Create a new permission set

4. Click on System Permissions

5. Click edit at the top of the list

6. Enable the "Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps" permission

7. Click save

Add The Permission Set to the User

1. Go to setup

2. Click on Users

3. Find the user in the list and click on them

4. Navigate to the Permission Set Assignments section

5. Click "Edit assignments"

6. Find the previously created Permission Set, and add it to the "Enabled Permission Sets"

7. Click save
